When the Wi fi goes down, its physical media!!

I have 4000+ dvds I’d rather have dvds as they are unedited and uncut and you won’t have any missed episodes like doctor who now or the muppets or songs cut from Disney films . Plus films won’t disappear overnight . I have no fear ordering bootleg Star Wars or Netflix series from eBay if they won’t release on dvd one of theses willow season 1 which Disney removed after a month for tax reasons. I’m hoping we get a beetlejuice compleate series release in the uk as £15 postage from USA is ridiculous

reason I'm buying phys media is because a lot of my favorite movies constantly bounce from service to service, and some aren't even on streaming at all

DVDs and Blu-rays will still be around in 20 years. I've collecting DVDs since I was 22 and still do to this day since I turned 40 this year. I used to have lots of VHS tapes when I was in my teens however I got rid of those when I turned 22. I've got loads of TV Comedy in my collection, plus some TV Dramas and some Movies (mainly comedy). I used to have some comedy and childrens tapes when I was young but don't collect cassettes any more, but since 2002 I have been buying CDs instead. I don't own Netflix, All4, BBC iplayer, AmazonPrime or ITVX, mainly because alot of what's on those I already own copies of on DVDs. Also when I go and see my mum who has these she can watch a movie when I'm visiting. Whereas alot of the series on these aren't complete, and some films are missing they're sequels. Sometime's I can't find a film I'd like to watch and that's why I buy DVDs so they're better to watch without adverts and they have extras which aren't on streaming services which is a shame. This is why I don't use streaming services as they're too expensive to own and DVDs are better.

I’ve been collecting DVD’s and Blu Rays for over 20 years, a large majority of the movies I own are not on any streaming services as I tend to buy classic, cult, foreign language, 70’s and 80’s exploitation and independent movies. I tend to buy a lot of movies from boutique labels such as Vinegar Syndrome, Severin, Blue Underground, 88 Films, Shameless, BFI, Umbrella, Imprint, Indicator, Arrow and Eureka etc. I’m not a big fan of mainstream Hollywood movies, especially the modern ones (I do own some, but have become bored of a lot of big budget movies, as they tend to be the same thing over and over again).

I am a huge advocate for physical media and still collect DVD's and Blu-ray's regularly. I only have 2 streaming services being Disney + and Amazon Prime. They both have films and tv shows that are not available in the UK on physical, hense why I have them. However they do tend to take things down and put other things on that aren't necessarily that good (Amazon more than Disney). Hense why I tend to buy physical media. I think both are good but physical tops it for me as owning the physical version of a film or show means it's never out of your possession.

I have alot of dvds, blurays and 4ks and subscribe to one streaming platform at a time. I switch platforms every few weeks or months, this allows me to also have time and use my collection. This has to be a balance and i find that this is the best way. For me that is.

streaming and physical media should simply coexist; it naught need to be a competition. physical media can never replace streaming's aspect of convenience, while streaming can never replace disc's aspect of ownership and collectibility. want to just watch a movie? stream it. want to watch it over and over, display, and collect it? buy the disc version.

I do collect and love my physical media but I do have a plex server it's my movie collection and I enjoy just relaxing after work and loading up a movie from my server but I do go back and watch the disk sometimes

Truth be told, I keep seeing "Oh I got IPTV, oh I got this streaming service". I mean not going to lie, I definitely owning a title is amazing indeed. And I'm in-between of swapping most of my DVDs to Blu-Ray when I can (whilst collecting new DVD boxsets and Blu-Rays). I own a few boxsets so far and even own a bootleg Blu-ray of Monsters at Work S1 & S2 and a DVD bootleg of The Simpsons: Season 35. Even when in doubt, I think bootlegs are a decent way to own a show/movie that is stuck to streaming only. My most expensive recent buy was a few months back on eBay (cheapest is for £40 for the Bottom collection on DVD for all the live shows and it is rare). I'm slowly collecting the rare titles on Blu-ray/DVD as well. P.S. - Titles I'd recommend collecting: Ted: Season 1 (Release on 23rd September) Chucky: Season 3 Guest House Paradiso (Blu-ray Limited Edition) Zavvi is also been having deals on 4K's at the moment

I also use both streaming and physical media, I agree that it's a healthy balance. I've seen recently that the Ted tv series is getting a dvd release soon, I'd like to pick up that up since I don't have Peacock and I am interested in checking out the show.

I’ve seen a heart shaped cd before by I think *NSYNC. These are singles with one or two tracks so the outer edges of the disc aren’t needed therefore its shape doesn’t matter. Btw the loose disc with a black and white leopard print cd art is Gwen Stefani’s love angel music baby album

Could I just ask this. On the episode “scuzzlebutt”, when Stan says “let me do it, uncle jimbo” it’s cut off until the “Bo” part of jimbo. Does this happen in your disc? Also my season 5 disc, when cartman says “red rocket” his lips are moving but he’s not saying it. The dog is still panting so the audio isn’t cut off

I would get these DVDs but I might get the US DVD of the movie Bigger, Longer and Uncut because of the distributor it annoys me that Warner Bros distributed the film in the UK instead of Paramount because I like the gag at the beginning where the Paramount logo crossfades to the south Park mountain and it would coincide with the show better because the DVDs of the series you've got are distributed by Paramount and Paramount has done tons of films and shows the show's style and humor coincides with such as Beavis and Butthead and Jackass and it would also coincide with Team America: World Police since that film was distributed by Paramount worldwide there is a DVD combo that probably because of Warner Bros has only been released in the US

Although i can't watch most of the movies he acts in without cringing, the Bourne movies are superb. He did a great job on those and somehow fit the character really well

I loved the revival despite its flaws and I'm saddened about the cancellation. I just hope that if the show gets a third chance it won't take another 20 years.

Imo this is a really mid season so far.
